101 Summer Interior Design Ideas From Lotus Interiors

Here are the First 2 or 101 Summer Interior Design Ideas

1. INSTALL ENERGY EFFICIENT WINDOW TREATMENT/BLINDS

With current high energy costs to cool your home during the summer months consider having custom Window Treatments/Blinds installed. Currently the US Goverment has created at $1500 Tax Rebate that can be used when you purchase energy effecient Window Treatments/Blinds

2. DESIGN AN INDOOR OASIS TO RELAX, COOL OFF, STAY DRY AND BUG FREE
A porch where your family can enjoy meals, relax can and avoid bugs but yet still enjoy the outside is one of our favorite summer design ideas. The picture above is one of Lotus Interiors most recent porch designs. Our Client was looking for a place to entertain guests and a place where they could take a nap while enjoying the sounds of nature. During the evening these spaces are perfect location for one of Lotus Woodstocks reverse painted lamps or chandeliers.

About Us

Tracy Baisden

Tracy holds a degree in Interior Design from Sage College of Albany. She has extensive experience using faux finishes from her previous work as a Scenic Artist. She worked on many productions including ones at NYSTI (New York State Theater Institute), Lake George Opera Festival, and Williams College.

In addition to her work as a scenic artist, Tracy has years of experience in Interior Design and decorative painting in both residential and commercial applications. She has worked for many homeowners in the The Berkshires, Capital Region, Saratoga area, and Hudson Valley areas. Her commercial projects include restaurants, retail stores, law offices, chiropractic and medical offices, and art galleries.

Lotus Fine Art

Tracy and her sister, Jamie Barthel of Lotus Fine Art in Woodstock, New York, have teamed up to bring their clients unique and elegant design elements for their homes and commercial spaces. Jamie is a designer of reverse-painted glass lighting and custom pieces, as well as the owner of the Lotus Fine Art Gallery, which showcases many talented artists and boasts a professional framing gallery. Tracy and Jamie realized that each of their skills, while different, worked so well together that it would be a natural compliment to either of their client’s projects.

Tracy can work on interior design or painting projects, and work with Jamie to design custom painted lighting that is designed specifically for the space – a one of a kind work of art. When Jamie is designing a piece of glass or a light fixture for one of her clients, Tracy can be brought in to consult on color, decorative finishes, or interior design elements that coordinate and compliment the glass. Please visit Lotus Woodstock to see the amazing Lotus Lights line and Jamie’s gallery.
